I’ve used this antenna in a large, flat city and in the mountains.
The flat city had amazing reception with about 30 some channels coming through in excellent HD quality. The mountains were a complete fail with nothing coming through.
Now, the mountain test was a little unfair as I was in a hollow (holler) which is a lower area with tall mountains surrounding. When I try this antenna on a higher more open space in the mountains, I will update this section with the results. The area of the mountains that I am in also do not have as large of a cable channel line up as a larger city would have.
So, it all depends on the area in which you live. If you live within 50 miles of a larger city with no major obstructions then this antenna will be perfect for you. I was on the out skirts of the city, so I have not tested it around tall buildings. If in the mountains, you may want to explore some of the newer outdoor antennas. They are a lot smaller these days compared to the originals.
